YMCA toddler class?

I was wondering if anyone has done a toddler class at the YMCA (specifically at the Great South Bay YMCA.) I was trying to look up info online and it doesn't look like the schedule or registration info is posted for the fall.

Anyone know if they do Saturday classes? I was also confused on the pricing--do you need to be a member?

It seems like there a few different toddler classes-any feedback on the differences?

Thanks!!!

Yes, I did a mommyN me type of class with my twin daughters- 22 months at the time. The class met once a week for 90 minutes, overall it was a good class. I cant remember how much, I dont think it was too much $$.

This Sept I have them signed up for a separation class- Tues/Thurs 2 1/2 hours, thats costing me $420 per month. 10 month long program.

BTW it was the yMCA in Glen Cove.

Re: YMCA toddler class?

I took my son to a mommy & me type class on Saturdays last fall through the winter. The Saturday classes run about 8-10 weeks each session. The class was from 9:30-11:00 and is broken into 3 mini-classes (free play with story time and snack, then into the toddler "gym" for circle time where they sing songs and run around, then free play in the jungle gym area (indoors).

You do not need to be a member to register, but your child does. You pay an annual member registration fee for your child, and then you pay for the class. For what you pay, I think it's very reasonably priced. My son liked it, and I liked seeing him interact with other kids his age. I thought it was a great experience for him and me.

They also offered a separation class for children 3 yrs old and above. If we weren't sending my son to preschool this fall, we would have sent him to the separation class on Saturdays at the Y.

ETA:
Annual membership for a youth (6mos - 13 years) is $70. This is if you just want to enroll them in various programs.

Then you pay for the class (8 weeks long) which is somewhere between $80-$140 or so depending on the class.

It doesn't look like the fall calendar is up yet. Online pre-registration starts Aug 8th. General registration starts Aug 11th. (You can only do the online pre-registration on Aug 8th if your child is already a member before that date.)

Thanks so much!! This is so helpful! Do you know if I can do regular online registration if I wasn't a member yet?

No you have to be a member to do the online registration. Otherwise you have to go down and register in person.
