Yet another solids question...soooo confused!
I feel so lost with solids. I don't know why.
There are so many different things and not sure really what type of food to give when.
I usually give oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast. For lunch try to give one of the fruit and veggie mixes, and at dinner a veggie or a fruit and veggie mix. I just got some of the actual meals but haven't tried any yet. The ped just gave the ok for her to eat everything.
When do you give yogurt? Do you give it for breakfast only or lunch too? Do you give cereal at night too with a veggie? Do you give a fruit and veggie mix at night? I want her to have a variety of foods so just confused as all heck!
Sometimes she eats a ton and others she is not really interested in the food...so we are still working and learning.
Any help and advice is great!!
And I haven't tried to make any food yet myself...just been buying the plum and gerber organic containers and pouches.

Yet another solids question...soooo confused!
How old is DC? Honestly, you can give anything you want at whatever time of day. Like you said, you want to give a variety of foods so you can mix it up. DD wasn't on three meals a day until 8 months. At that point, I think we did oatmeal and fruit at breakfast, yogurt and fruit or a mix of fruit and veg for lunch, and veggies with oatmeal for dinner. As long as you are giving a variety of fruit and veggies, you can do whatever you feel like!

You can give anything any time. It's whatever you want. I found it easier when I stopped thinking about it. Cause its really not something to stress over.

Just remember to include more proteins, too. :) Chicken, beef, egg yolks ( unless you're vegan?)

I would check with your ped on that. Ours didn't have us add meat until 8 months.

Yet another solids question...soooo confused!
we didnt do meats until she was able to eat table food at 8m, but it was all personal preference because i had no desire to puree meat.
the best advice is do what you want! just make sure to give a variety and allergy test. otherwise have fun! its all a learning process for both of you.

Re: Yet another solids question...soooo confused!
We didn't go to 3 meals a day till 9 mos but I know some start 3 a day earlier than others.
I usually give oatmeal or fruit for breakfast. Sometimes yogurt and I started egg yolks and pancakes too.
Lunch was always fruit or avocado for a long time. Now I am doing more finger foods but mostly fruit.
Dinner is always meat and veggies. I am anal about this. I don't want DD to think fruit is an acceptable dinner or get in the habit of having something sweet for dinner!
