Yay! We did it...great doctor's visit!
A while back I had posted that DS was severely favoring one side and we went to the pediatrician to discuss it. The ped gave us two weeks to do some stretching before deciding on physical therapy. We worked hard to get in stretching every day (even though it was painful for my little guy). At the two week appt we had so much progress that the ped wanted to give it another two weeks before a final recommendation.
Well....
DH just called to report that the ped said to stop the stretching because DS's neck is perfect.  I am crying right now I am so happy. For so long I felt like the neck problem was my fault and hated myself for it so this is a huge relief.
Also...DS is 13lbs 12oz at 10.5 weeks and 25 inches. He's in the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight - the ped was very happy with that and said to keep him on BM and formula since he seems to be satisifed.
And the pink eye has cleared up - no more drops!

thats great Ang! what kind of exercises did you do? I have noticed ds likes to look to the left all the time, not so much to the right... maybe we can do some of the exercises as well...

When the ped looked at DS he noticed that he was favoring the right and confirmed that the muscles on the left side of his neck were tight he had us do the following:
Put DS on his right side (shoulder down) and pull down on his left shoulder for counts of 10.
Put DS on his back and pull down on his left shoulder while pushing (gently) his head to the right (so that it was straight and the left muscle would stretch).
As you can tell - this was not fun at all. I cried in the beginning when he cried but eventually I tried to make a game out of it. Cheerful loud counting and showing him toys. Now (of course that it's over) he actually has fun doing it but that must be because the muscle isn't so tight.
