I have to agree about the tassels. They have a busy pattern as it is... Those things just aren't necessary.

That's exactly the part that was bothering me. The tassels. Why did they put those on?

I'm not loving these...I've seen similar flats/ballet flats at Payless that look similar that I like better.

I agree too busy.
Just saw a nice leopard skin Venetian flat in the Lands End catalog... really nice pattern and a streamlined style.
