it's kind of shapeless, no? Chat Icon I'd have to see in on. I am not a fan of things that just hang on the body.

Yeah, that is my concern. I have big boobs, so draped dresses and shirts just hang out from them.

Yay that length... I'm 5'2 also so I would have it hemmed.

if that's the case, i wouldn't get it.

it will just make you look fat...to be honest.

go for something closer fitting...with something that cinches you at the waist.

just b/c it looks cute on the hanger doesn't mean it looks flattering on a real body. Chat Icon

A belt would easily solve that problem

eh, not necessarily.

again, it's something I would try on...with a belt or whatever...the pleats on top may also be an issue for her boobs and the way it blouses over the belt.

sadly...not every dress is made for every body.

in any event Beth, since it's an online thing..I'd look for something similar at a brick and mortar shop to get an idea...no reason to pay for shipping if you'll only return it.

It's not pleating as much as draping.. I have a similar dress that works with a belt to give it more shape. But to each his own... give it a shot, if you don't like it, return it.. or find something similar in a store... I hate online shopping for that one reason..

Edited to add it doesn't have to be "bloused" over the belt.. You can create shape with a low slung belt on your hips... just to cinch the dress in without blousing it over.

I am sure it works. I have no idea what you look like, but I've seen pics of beth so I know what shape she has...which is why I say what works for one may not work for another.

I am sure it works for you and looks super cute.

I personally can't go near a dress like that....even with a belt I fear. but I would try it at a store, b/c you never know. just not an online purchase.

Yeah, I'm not going to get it. I do a lot of online window shopping, and just wanted to get opinions. Thanks everyone!

Re: Yay or nay?

It's cute...but ever since someone linked a website where a man was giving his opinions on the latest fashion, I now get why he called these dresses t i t curtains. So nay. Some gals can pull this style off, but not man.
