yay! found a good pediatrician
we met with him today.... I told him my medical history (autoimmune problems and vaccination reactions), along with other concerns, and he agrees Scone should have an extended/delayed vaccination schedule.
very smart guy.... so glad I found him online!
as a side note: we also started watching a good labor/delivery video... so we're really catching up with all the things that need to be done in the next several weeks.....

That's great!! Do you mind sharing who he is??
And what video are you watching? I was thinking about getting one just to give us a little preparation since we won't be taking any classes.

Re: yay! found a good pediatrician
sure, he's Jason Halegua... he is in 2 offices... one all the way in wading river and one in holtsville (close to the LIE).
I selected him after a long online search. he's the only MD/PhD with a practice in the area, and is med school faculty at SBU... so he's smart and very current with the literature....
as for the dvd, I highly recommend it. it's a 2 dvd set, and we're only 1/2 way through the first disk, but so far it's super informative without being painful to watch... another thing I just realized last night that's a benefit to buying (rather than renting or taking a class) a labor dvd is that when we have our first contractions, if we're nervous, we can re-watch certain parts of it...
laugh and learn about childbirth
hth!
