It depends, but probably not. The salesperson will likely be with you through the entire project so if you're having problems now, it won't get easier.

Would you hire a company for a renovation when you don't care for salesman
what is it about this person you dont like? are you over thinking things? many times our gut is right on however, if you normally question things especially when under stress, it might not be 100% him

For starters, very pushy, constantly contacting us before we have made a decision to move forward, and then saying he is spending too much time with us. No written contract, but wants downpayment. When suggesting a certain layout, if I don't care for it and feel it should be left the way it is, I am told that is not the way it should be. I also foresee if God forbid something comes out different than it was supposed to be, it is not going to be easy dealing with him.
He sounds like he is not the salesman for you. Perhaps ask to work with a different salesman.
if you like the company and their work.
I have been know to tell people like that, if you continue to push me I'll walk away.
Good Luck, anything construction related is stressful, you have to live in it everyday

Thanks. I don't think DH would feel right asking for someone else. If we don't use him, we will probably move on. We have met with quite a few places and everyone was decent enough, but this is stressful already.

I have never worked with a salesperson on a remodel. Only general contractor and/or subs.
What type of remodel are you planning? Who recommended this company. Did you ask for references?
....."Saying that he is spending too much time with us." This statement alone would have me running far away. How unprofessional and insulting.
My guess is this overly assertive fella probably has a certain quota that must be met and is trying to strong arm you. More focused on his commission than your wants, needs, vision and happiness. Quite frankly he sounds like an ass.
