XPOST...If you've ever been on unemployment please read...
No ones responding on NFR so I figured I would try here.
I'm on unemployment right now and just got a letter in the mail saying I have an appointment to come in and to bring my list of jobs I applied for. Do they care how many you've applied for...do they check up on them?

Make sure its something they can check bc I know from friends they CALL to see if you even sent your resume

I was on unemployment and I could not attend the meeting, because by the time they asked me to go to one, I was here in NC. I just gave them a list of the places I sent my resume too. I never had any problems. I was on it for the time allowed.

Hi- I was on unemployment for 6 months after my DS was born. I did have to go... what I did was go to career builder and book it as applied for and then printed out the record to them. All they did was look at it and sign off that I brought something. I went to White Plains for this, not too sure if it's different at other places. I am sure you will be fine as long as you bring something.

I was on unemployment 2 years ago. They didn't check anything!!! I looked thru the Yankee Trader and listed jobs and said I either faxed my resume or called. Maybe my counselor was lazy or something but she NEVER called.

I had to do the same thing a couple of years ago, i gave them 2 fax numbers and 2 company names and thats it. I don't think they checked, because i never heard back and never sent my resume out. I think you have to bring a copy of your resume with you too.

I had to do this as well a few years ago. Unfortunately I had a VERY detailed list of the jobs applied for and the responses I received and the guy I met with was an azz. He looked them over and offered no help He was so rude and crude that when I admitted to being discouraged he told me something was bound to come up because "if you throw enough sh!t against the wall, something will stick"
