AND can u use the video camera in the delivery room???....not for va-jay jay play by play thats for sure! but more for the birth itself??? TIA

I didn't use one, but in our hospital there was a sign no video cameras (but we were in the e-room (for a cs). I would think you would need the permission of the hospital and/or doctor.

We could have used it, but didn't. I had a regular delivery.
ETA: We have a Sony Handycam and love it. The one with mini-DVDs, not the hard drive (we didn't want the hard drive one).

We have the Sony Handycam DCR SR80. There is a newer version being sold now, the SR85. It has a 60gb hard drive. I love it, no complaints.
We were allowed to use it in the hospital for a vag. birth, but not if we had a c-section. We were going to film the moments after birth too ( I would never let DH film "down there" ).

I have a Flip 60-minute recorder. I love it! I always have it with me in my bag, takes great videos, is small enough and uploading to the computer is a cinch!
