I'm posting under a fake name because there are people on here that know me IRL, but I'm a little nervous and wanted to know what your experiences were.

I've been TTC for 2 1/2 years and we FINALLY saw that magical BFP. I have no idea when I O'd because I wasn't really tracking this month (go F-ing figure). Anyway, I called my RE and scheduled a Beta. Follow-up #s (48 hours later) were not so great....

Beta 1= 558
Progesterone= 13.3

Beta 2= 886
Progesterone= 9

They had me start crinone ASAP and I had another beta this morning. Anyone have any experience with a slow rise and still have a viable pregnancy????

I don't know why you think these are slow rising numbers. Assuming you had your blood drawn at the same time, 2 days apart, those numbers have a 72 hour doubling time. That's what should happen; they should double within 72 hours.

72 is the bare minimum. Strict criteria says it is ok.
Prog falling on the other hand isn't great. FYI - crinone does not reflect in blood, so don't worry too much if third prog is still low.

You beta numbers are good. The same thing happened with my progesterone even after I was on crinone.

Ask for progesterone in oil shots with the crinone to ensure your progesterone doesnt go any lower. Anything below ten is not good. and make sure they retest your progesterone every two days.

Just got a call back from the office...not so great

Beta= 1303
Prog= 13

Still not doubling...only a 47% increase. Dr. reviewed the #s and said its ok but wants to see me tomorrow or Wed for u/s. I'm glad my progesterone went up though...I guess small victories?

try not to be discouraged - the numbers are still going up
go for the u/s and see what happens

i know its hard to be positive...i was getting my numbers tested every other day and for over a week my progesterone never went above a 2 (but my beta increased). i was give progesterone suppositories bc i asked for them but was basically told i was going to miscarry...im 37 weeks along
