not sure where the best place is around you.
last year i went through the search. 2 things i wish i had known:

a cord of wood - is a LOT of wood. Make sure you have room for it and plan on having a fire every night!!

ask how long it has been seasoned for. Online says wood should be seasoned for a few months, but really it should be more like a year. It burns much much better.

Thanks for the info!

This is how much wood we had from trees we took down on our property:

(It's three rows deep!!!!) I think it took us three seasons to get through it all (DH keeps the thermostat LOW Chat Icon ) because we do have a fire almost nightly in the winter. Actually we ran out before the end of last winter.


If anyone has recs in the Northport/Huntington area, let me know!
