Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
Believe it or not, I think I have heard that some men are given clomid to help build the numbers. I think there are different things they can do now. Good luck!

Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
With IVF I don't think those numbers will be a problem. My DH had a small morphology problem and we did iui, and his sperm count was all over the place, from 51million, to only 6 million and our last iui his count was 14 million and we got pg

Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
Since your are doing IVF, the numbers don't really make a difference...if you do ICSI, all you need is few sperm...they will pick the best ones so no worries...
Your DH can take Pycnogol (spelling?)..it helps with morphology....Clomid will not really help as it helps build up the count only if testesterone levels are low...

Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
My DH came back 8 % instead of 14% but had a high sperm count. Dr. B said that its not a problem and didnt say anything else about it.
I'm the problem
Can you go in to see the doctor so that he/she can go over the results with you and explain further?
Edit to add: With the info you gave, it really seems like it shouldnt be a problem. Good luck!!!

Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
My DH had his SA done 3 times so far. His sperm count was 19 million, 38 million, 14 million, his motility was never a problem, and his morphology was 39.7, 16, 33.5 ( actually they really want the morphology to be greater than 30). From what Dr B explained to me the numbers can vary a lot from one sample to the next. My DH is doing accupuncture once a week, never takes hot baths or hot showers, wears only boxer shorts, no lap tops on his lap (I got him a laptop table for his birthday!) eliminated all caffeine, no spicy foods or cold drinks, eats as much organic as possible and takes a whole bunch of vitamins and supplements ( let me know if you are interested in the list and I will e-mail you everything). We're at the vitamin shop every weekend now for our refills The accupuncturist told him to eat lamb, walnuts, oysters, chives and he has also given him some herbs for a while that he still takes occassionaly. I really have no idea if all these things are helping but on the IUI that I had on this cycle they told me that his sample was excelent So maybe all this is helping afterall Let me know of any other questions that you may have, I'll be more than happy to share information with you! Good Luck!

Re: Xpost: DH's SA results
Those numbers are not a problem with IVF. DH's count was only 8 mil (forgot morphology) and we got pregnant on our first IVF.
Also Vitamin C helps with the count and Pcynogenol (sp?) might help with the morphology. Good Luck!
