how much liquid do you put in the crockpot when you're making a pot roast?? just enough to cover the bottom of the crockpot, or enough to cover the meat, or what? i'm also putting some potatoes, onions and carrots in there, too. thanks!

Re: XP from recipes
i follow a recipe from my crockpot cookbook so i don't remember the exact amount of liquid but it definitely did not cover the meat. i put the veggies around the roast along the bottom and made sure they were in the liquid.
