xp: did you use acupuncture?
Hi ladies,
I posted this on infertility, but wanted to post it here also.
I am going through PGD/IVF and am about to start cycle #2. I was thinking of adding in acupuncture to help increase egg number, and help to destress.
I was wondering if you used an acupuncturist? Did it help? When did you start?
Who do you go to? how much are they?

I did and am almost 32 weeks pregnant with twin boys from my first IVF. My fsh was 14.9!

I had with a previous cycle that was a BFN. with this one I didn't use acu, since it was too expensive out of pocket.
I think it's great to help you relax and destress, but I don't think it's a deciding factor for a successful IVF cycle.

A few years ago, I did acupuncture couple with an IVF cycle and was unsuccessful. I got pregnant when I took a break from all the infertility meds and procedures and was exclusively doing acupuncture & chinese herbs. DH was also getting acupuncture treatments at the same time. It took us 2 cycles. My DD is 2-years-old now.
This pregnancy...we skipped all of the infertility stuff and went right to acupuncture. In the second month trying, we got pregnant again. DH was also going this time as well.
Both times, I started about a month before TTC. I went for weekly treatments at $85 a pop. Insurance did not & does not cover it. I still go now that I am 16 weeks. I go every other week.

I went thru IVF and did acupuncture. I am now in my 33 week! I truly believed it helped me mentally and physically. It kept my blood flow to my uterus, my lining always sucked before it. It also kept me more relaxed.

just to let you girls know, i worked for an EXCELLENT acupuncturist in westbury for 5 years,,i only left in may when i had my car accident..but she does specialize in infertility..so if any of you are interested, please FM me..
