I didn't even realize I put it on Parenting. Sorry. I always just go here first
I am doing it now. I am contacting the Town of Southold Mayor and other people out East that I know. I am going to see if they are going to put together some sort of rally and what else I can do.
I don't even care if they raise the fee. Just keep it open. If they close them, they will get run down, over grown, illegal things will happen. It is just bad.

Please let us know if you find out about a rally or anything they will be doing to support keeping these parks open.
I agree with you, they will become run down, over grown places for illegal activity.
I can't even believe they are considering closing them. Such a bad idea.

I am speaking to another forum about a rally. I just got in a fight with my BIL who is for the park closings!! He said they have to make cuts somewhere. What an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I responded on the other post on parenting but will respond here as well.
Of course noone wants the parks to close but unfortunately because we are in such a clusterf*ck of a mess, hard decisions are going to have to be made. if it comes down to closing the park or are kids losing funding at schools, I would prefer the parks to close.
Cuts are going to have to be made somewhere. And people are going to be upset but somehow we have to dig out of this mess.
