I need a recipe for the Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoe and Marshmellows. We have always had an ethnic Thanksgiving, but this year my sister is hosting her in laws and asked me to make this. I have no idea how. Any good recipes?

yes, but on my puter at home. Lemme see if I can get it though from one of my relatives.

It's really yummy and very traditional. I'm sure others will come on here and post theirs as well.

I found it!

4 large sweet potatoes
½ small can evaporated milk
2 eggs
1/8 lb butter
1 tsp cinnamon
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Small can crushed pineapple.
Pinch of ginger & allspice.
Mini marshmallows


Boil potatoes in skins. Peel, mash while hot. (Use electric beater or ricer). Add butter, stir until melted. Add spices, eggs, vanilla, sugar and mix. Add milk and blend.

Pour into casserole or pie plate (with or without crust). Sprinkle mini marhsmallows on top pretty much covering the whole pie.

Bake 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees until top rises and browns slightly. Serve hot.
