in my experience..what i would do
Put ant traps in DD's room behind her furniture or where you see them hanging out the most. Keep her away from them. personally i wouldn't spray in her room.
You can put traps outside the house under her window and/or along the foundation too. The powders and sprays will only wash away with 1 rainfall.
don't spray and use traps though. The spray kills them and the traps attract them so they bring back bait to the rest and then die. The spray makes the traps uninviting.
Just a word though, if you do use the traps, you will see more of them cause they are attracted to them, then they'll die off.
Also see if you can find where they are coming in and caulk it off.
It's been so rainy and wet, that's why they're coming in
