Re: friend vent

Quite honestly, I had a so-called "friend" like that in my life and I cut her out......Someone who really only cares about herself is not a true friend.

Anyone have a friend like this??.When something is going on in their life the world must stop. You being the good friend youa re call, email, text whatever to make sure she is doing ok. At the same time you are going through someting which could potentiallyt be a good things if all works out but they never call to see how you are see how your doing, See if you have any updates on your sistuation...

Its getting on my nerves now.. Sorry.. thansk for letting me vent.

What do you do in this type of situation?

Wow are we talking about the same friend. When talking with them is it always a one sided convo? Them talking and you said yeah...ummm....ok and other similar words. The good thing was that this friend in question stopped dating another friend. We slowly stopped talking to this person. It was for the best. I can't deal with drama laden people.

Re: friend vent

It would depend on what their situation was and how frequently they ignore mine.

I admit that I have been through things that have completely overwhelmed me and left me dry for anything else. I may not have been there for friends as much as I should have been or could have been if I were in a different place.

I hope they understand just as I understand when they are going through something big and aren't attentive to me.

If they are always like that and never gave consideration to me then I would just let the friendship dissolve.

ETA: I don't know if that makes sense. Sometimes you need a friend more then others and vice versa. Sometimes you are a better friend then other times and vice versa. In then end I think it usually balances out.
