wwyd? schedule (poll)
Ok so my daughter (3) is starting preschool in 2 weeks 9:15-2pm Mon - Thursday Im thinking about signing her up for dance Thursdays and Saturday mornings (45min class) And I just signed her up for gymnastics for Friday morning (1hr class)....I figured its the one day she doesnt have anything going on but my dh just pointed out to me it also mean I do not have one day where I dont have to be somewhere (I also have a 4 month old). So would you?

wwyd? schedule (poll)
I would personally try to schedule it so she has at least one day completely free. It's not just for you, but for your DD to rest too.

Re: wwyd? schedule (poll)
ok, sorry that this probably isn't really what you're asking but I think it sounds like too much for her. School, dance and gymnastics. School and dance both on Thursdays is what sounds like too much but if you are set on dance, I'd get rid of gymnastics on Friday so she can have an unscheduled day. And it would be good for you too to have a free day since you think you may want one.

Re: wwyd? schedule (poll)
I would leave it free for playdates and other outings. I often regret signing up for classes. It becomes more of a burden because it gets in the way of other things I want to do with the kids.
I don't think it is too many activities for your DC though.

Re: wwyd? schedule (poll)
Why 2 days of dance?
What I would do is 1 day of dance (Thursday after school) and gymnastics on Friday, assuming it's early enough that you can make other plans after if you want.
ETA: OR, just do gymnastics Tuesdays and dance Thursdays, leaving Friday-Sunday free of scheduled activities.

that sounds like a lot! Its reallly a personal decision. I personally would want her to have an organized activity every day. Weekends are free....

I like having one free day for play dates, doctor appointments and general errands.

Re: wwyd? schedule (poll)
You know your daughter best but that sounds like a very hectic schedule for a 3yo. I would stick to school plus one other activity to start with and keep the weekend and one weekday free. She will be busy full time with school and other activities soon enough.

Re: wwyd? schedule (poll)
Thanks everyone! I think Im going to switch the gymnastics to Tuesday and leave Friday free. As far as dance 2 days a week the only reason why is it was only and extra $20 to do an extra day (the class is only 45 mins and its down the block from where we live) She really loves it too
I asked her if she likes dance or gymnastics better...she says gymnastics but wants to do both so figured we would try it all...can cancel at anytime but I think I need a day where I dont have to leave the house too
