WWYD?

I went to LI Holistic and saw Heather on Friday. We ran out of time and I didn't get a treatment. We sat and chatted about my history etc..

I paid the $95 bill and was about to submit it to my insurance company and realized that I paid for her to write my history.

I don't know what I paid for. I'm thinking I shouldn't have paid anything.

What do you think?

Re: WWYD?

I don't go to LI Holistic, but you would think you would have at least had a treatment. I would call and ask.

When I went for my first appt. with my acupunturist, it was a longer session, we spent about 35 minutes talking and then I had a session. It cost a little more than the regular session.

Re: WWYD?

Well the regular session is $65. this was $95. I went to another acupuncturist before this and had a short treatment as well. We spent about 45 minutes talking about my history. She said sometimes we have time for a treatment and sometimes not. There was a person after me so I get the timing thing, but we chatted a lot.

I would think the $95 would include a treatment. Maybe I should just have the fee reduced.

Re: WWYD?

When I had a consult and a treatment it was $150. I guess you were paying her to get your history and develop a treatment plan. You paid for her time. I think she should have done a treatment though.

Re: WWYD?

Maybe it should have been reduced? I went before and was charged $120 for the initial with a treatment. This was $95 without one and they usually charge $65 for a treatment.

eta: I paid $90 for the treatment at the other place.

I asked her for some advice about what I should do tohelp and she told me to get a book and to drink and eat warm foods.

Re: WWYD?

When I first saw Andrea, the first visit was $95 and included a treatment. I definitely think you should have had a treatment included. I think its usually $65 per visit (my insurance covers part and I pay $50). So, you would have paid her $30 for her time and $65 for the treatment which I think is fair. I would call them and speak to Andrea.

I paid $95 on my first visit and did not get treatment. We only discussed my history.

Yes. I think she just gave me a quick version of a treatment, showing me how the needles felt and all.

Re: WWYD?

The first time I went I paid $95 and was upset when I didn't get a treatment. I met with Lizelle who is no longer there. I was not happy with my appointment and felt she didn't know jack sh-t about IVF and infertility. And she sort of told me to go see a different acupuncturist. I was really upset and went back to see Andrea, b/c everyone told me to. I love Andrea, sometimes I think she knows more than my RE. I would not go to anyone else there except her. Completely different experience. I think its really hard for her to find someone as compassionate as she is. Try to see Andrea, otherwise stay where you are.

Re: WWYD?

I have an appt with Heather on Saturday. I may not keep it.

I sent the claim in. After thinking about it, it wasn't worth the fight when I may not continue there.

If I can't see Andrea then I will stay with Dr. A.
