i have a wedding next weekend. i bought a pretty dress but it makes me feel a little chubby. with it, i bought a pair of gold shoes. i have a gold bag thats a slightly different color gold than the shoes...cant find a better match, though.

i also have a dress that i wore to another wedding 2 years ago (the couple getting married saw me in it,but im sure they dont remember), the dress is still in style. i feel great in it, and its so pretty. all accessories are a go....

what would you do?


eta: If i wear the new dress, is it really lame if i wear the 2 different golds?

i don't think the two golds are a big deal. but i'd wear what's comfy. the bride and groom are going to be too preoccupied to notice if you wear the dress they've already seen.

Wear the dress you feel better in. Who cares if the bride or groom actually notice that you've worn the dress before! I really don't think I know anyone that would actually care if I wore a dress to more than on occasion. I have one black dress that I wear all the time and it's so great people always compliment me on it , so I feel great in it and have a great time.

As for the gold - I would think your handbag is far enough away from your dress that no one is going to notice that they're not exactly the same color. If it was right up against your dress, it might matter more (maybe not) than handbag/shoes.

Wear the dress you are more comfy in. You will never regret going that way.

If you really want to wear the new dress, the two different golds won't matter. They won't be up against one another.

ETA: The couple getting marries will be too wrapped up in themselves and the other hundred or so people there to care about or even notice what you are wearing.
