WWYD - wedding invite
I was invited to the wedding of this woman I used to work with about 3 yrs ago. We have a number of mutual friends and are FB friends. But we don't really speak at all. She never sends me messages, I rarely send her messages.
I like her, but I'm not sure whether to go to the wedding considering we haven't actually spoken in over a year and before then it was off and on for a year.
She sent the save the date card, so I've known about the wedding for some time now, and I never made up an excuse or anything. but I just feel weird going to her wedding.
Opinions?

I have a rule if I don't speak to you at least once a month, then no we are not "friends" just acquaintances. So I wouldn't go.

If you don't want to go -- then don't go - and just decline when the invite comes.
I'm sure if you aren't close friends, they won't lose sleep over it. She probably invited you because you have so many mutual friends who are being invited and didn't want to not include you.

If you dont talk and have not hunt out in the past 3 years, I would not go.
I would send a gift off her registry though.

Just because someone sends a save the date, doesn't obligate you to go.
You don't need an excuse but a sorry we can't make it would suffice.
