Wwyd - party timing
Since I'm OCD I booked the christening yesterday. My church doesn't do a full mass so we should be done by 1230. We are only doing a 3hr party bc 4hrs seems like its overkill since there will be no DJ or opening presents. My choices are 130-430 or 2-5. I'm leaning more towards 2-5 so we don't have to rush to the place bc dh and I want to take pics at the church. It's in the summer if that's matters. Wwyd?
And the hall is about 20mins away from the church.

I would definitely start the party at 1:30. The pics at the church don't take as long as you think, maybe 10-15 min tops and you don't want your guests sitting around forever waiting for the party to start. I think an hour and a half between the church ending and the party starting is too long to make people wait.

Agree with PP. That's also a lot of hours your newborn will have to be "on."

Re: Wwyd - party timing
Is it a private baptism or group because with a group you may have to wait in line to take pics and it may take more time to get out of there

Whoops read it wrong
Ask there church what time you should be out. If they say 12:30 then I say book the party at 1:30

So funny...I'm the same way! Booked the christening from now (severe OCD) :/ I booked the 2-5 only because we do a full mass and we'll be done by 1 and by the time everyone leaves the church, and heads there it'll be 1:30-2 But I agree with pp you don't want such a long waiting time in between for your guests

Do the 1:30 to 4:30. Starting at 2 is way too long for your guests to figure out what to do.
