Wow....beta and recurrent panel back...Lovenox? UPDATED
Ladies, I am so happy that my betas and progesterone continue to rise (all 2 days apart) and Dr. B says they look "great"! 1st Beta - 19 2nd Beta - 115 3rd Beta - 386 Progesterone - hanging in the 20-25 range Sooooooooooo relieved!
The recurrent panel is 90% complete and it turns out I have a clotting disorder. Dr. B wants me to start Lovenox tommorrow and baby asprin in the meantime. So any advice about the Lovenox?!? I am nervous but willing to do anything to carry to term. I am just over four weeks now. He says its okay that I haven't been taking it until now. Thoughts? Advice? Did you go into the office to learn to do the shots? Thank you so much in advance!
UPDATE: 4th Beta - over 3000 Progesterone - 25
Tommorrow I am seeing Dr. B to discuss the panel results. I have been on the Lovenox for a week now. It stings but I'm getting used to it. Dr. B wants to do a sono to date the pregnancy since I got pg right after the mc with no af. I HOPE everything is okay! Praying the third time is the charm! TIA for any prayers you can spare.

Re: Wow....beta and recurrent panel back...Lovenox?
Congrats to you! Have you done any subcutaneous injections (stomach)? If so, lovenox is no different than any of those shots (gonal-f, menopur, etc...). I think the trick to lovenox is injecting it slowly. It tends to bruise, but the longer you're on it your body adjusts. Good luck! I always ice before any shots, but I'm a big baby, lol.

Re: Wow....beta and recurrent panel back...Lovenox?
some drs wont even start the lovenox until they see a heartbeat. my RE started me up on it as soon as a got a positive beta, the perinatologist didnt think it was necessary to start so soon (he wanted to wait to see a hb) but said it was ok either way..
the hematologist wanted me to start it when i got a positive beta as well.. i was about 4 weeks when i started it both times.
the first initial injections burn a bit - its a subq injection so the needle is pretty thin - after the first few days i didnt feel it.. you will get some nasty bruising though - the bruises themselves dont hurt - they just look like they do
i found pinching my tummy pretty hard and injecting at the same time made it pretty easy.
congrats and good luck!!!
