WOW!!!! good medical news
my uncle had a liver transplant yesterday. as you can imagine, it was a very long hard day.
i knew that my mother and grandmother would be visiting him at about noon today. so as i'm heading out to lunch, i call my mom to see how it went.
she tells me that they only just got to see him (she didn't give details), so they were in his room. she said that she couldn't believe how well he looked. he's talking and sitting up in his bed. she asked if i wanted to talk to him.
HE SOUNDED LIKE HIMSELF!!!! he said, "hey, how you doin'?" like it's a "regular" day. he thanked me for having been there yesterday (the nurse told him we had been there all day).
i can't believe it. even the doctors and nurses are surprised at how quickly he's coming along. my mom said that you can't believe that this man just went through a 10-hour operation.
thank god.
my faith have waived quite a bit in the last year, and now i feel horrible for not holding on to it better.

that is fantastic news!!
I remember after my father had his heart and kidney transplant (at different times) how fantastic he looked after both! New organs really do a body good!
