Wow, DD just did something she's never done before- now with pic (thanks Ang!)
She fell asleep alone, in her crib for a nap. She's always been bounced/back patted to sleep, always. For night time, for naps, she's always needed it, as much as we tried to break her of it. But I put her in her crib with some toys about 15 minutes ago to do some laundry, she was playing/whimpering in there, and I just went in b/c she was so quiet, and she's sound asleep in a crazy position!!
Wow, I'm so impressed. Gosh, I love this girl 
Inspired by Ang, I snuck in and took a pic of this big accomplishment! THose are the pants I gave her to play with

Sounds great! Hope it continues!
I was a rocker/cradler of DS for what seemed like the longest. Until one day, starting with naps we put him down awake....and gradually we did it for bedtime too. Now he's almost always put to bed awake and he puts himself to sleep!

So glad to hear he's feeling better...send him a hug from DD, his friend (he's never met)!
