Would you send a gift?
DH really isn't close with his extended family. He has 2 cousins in Ohio that also have kids that we wanted to keep up some sort of relationship with, so far the past 3 years we've sent holiday gifts. Plus when his female cousin was going through a nasty divorce and financial hardship just after having her 3rd earlier this year we sent a big box full of the formula she uses as well as gifts for the baby and the older kids. We have bever gotten any sort of thank you for any of it - not a phone call, email, quick note. I feel like why are we even bothering. DH says not to send anything, but I don't want to hurt the kids feelings.

Re: Would you send a gift?
I would absolutely send something. It's not the kids fault that the parents are rude and inconsiderate people. I think you are doing the right thing.
I would still send gifts but I would stick to a tight budget of maybe $20-$25 a child.
