Would You Say Something?
I made plans with my friend months ago to get our hair straightened on Friday. For those who are unfamiliar, you can't wash your hair for three days afterwards. So yesterday she tells me that she can't go on Friday because she's going away with her boyfriend on Sunday and wants to be able to wash her hair before she goes so she's going Thursday instead. That really annoyed me and I was so thrown by that. I'm debating whether or not I should say something to her about that. I think its b.s.
Let me also add that she has a tendancy to do this.....ditch her friends when she gets a new boyfriend. She becomes somewhat inaccessible, can never talk on the phone b/c she's with him and rarely will get together.
Would you say something to her or keep your mouth shut??

Re: Would You Say Something?
IMO it's really not that big of a deal. can you go with her on thursday? her reasoning kind of makes sense to me and it's probably a last minute thing... it's not like she is ditching you for him, she's just trying to work her schedule around you both.

I agree, I don't think this is a big deal or something to get bother by. Her reasoning totally makes sense.
See if you can go Thursday with her or just go by yourself Friday.

Nope, I have to work and she doesn't. She knew that.

Keep my mouth shut.
If I made a last minute plan to go away, I would want to wash my hair too and I wouldn't expect my friend to be mad that I changed an appointment.
IMHO- there are bigger things in life to worry/get mad about.
ETA: If she has a habit of doing this- don't make plans with her so far in advance, or don't make plans with her at all.

Re: Would You Say Something?
I would be annoyed - don't you have to sit there for several hours? It would go much faster and more pleasant with a friend to talk to.
I would probably say something about being disappointed since you were looking forward to going together. And wished she could have said something sooner so that maybe you could have worked something out for Thursday.

yep, it's a 4-6 hour process depending on several circumstances. the whole point was to have a friend there.....i like the way you worded that, about being disappointed.
