Would you put this play tent in DS' play space?

External Image

If not for the pink floor and pink windows, it'd be a tree house???

I bought two of them yesterday at Target (all they had left in CI) for $7.49. They were regularly $30. Not sure if I should keep one for DS.

I kind of think it's a little girly and would rather DS have a castle or rocket ship or something but I still bought them as we'll have a round of 2nd birthdays this summer and DS has a few "girl friends". Chat Icon

I'm not one to hoard/buy ahead with no option to return/gift receipt but couldn't pass up the deal.

If anyone knows me/sees me at play dates, and you come across a boy version in clearance for $8 or less, please pick it up for me! Chat Icon

It's cute, but I would think it would be for a girl. The windows and bottom are pink.

Probably wouldn't get it for DS, but that's JMO.

I only think it's girly because it looks like it's from the Tinkerbell thing that my daughter has...but I'm sure he'll love it.

Looks too girly to me.

FYI- The copiague Target had the same ones, the spaceship ones though when I went on Friday and they had quite a bit of them.

I don't believe in the "girly" or "masculine" idea for toys. If he likes it, it's good for him. It's a tree stump, plain and simple. Pink accents is not exclusively for girls. Plus, a tree stump with a pink floor that is covered with Matchbox, Transformers, Nerf guns and blocks is no longer "girly"... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

That's what I was just thinking! Chat Icon I'm not ready to commit to the floor space of it yet (we've not yet finished our basement for a playroom), nor give it away as a gift, so I have time to decide. And the floor will be covered with blankets and pillows and I can always replace the window flaps with different fabric.

DS has a hand me down Little People doll house with a pink roof and pink minivan and he loves it! Especially making the mommy and daddy go poopy on the potty! Chat Icon So we're not afraid of a little pink I guess!
