Would you (laminate floor question)
Would you attempt to remove laminate floor yourself? Our new house has laminate over hardwood in the living room, dining room and kitchen. We'll be bringing someone in to refinish the floors but am wondering if this is a project we could tackle ourselves.
All opinions and suggestions welcome!

we have the same thing....personally we aren't doing it ourselves. it was worth the little extra to have them take care of it all since they know what they're doing!

Re: Would you (laminate floor question)
if it is the click in type - yes...if it's one that uses glue probably not...getting the first row is probably the only hard part - other than that the boards should come right out, and if you damage them in the process it doesn't matter...i think i would save the money and do it myself....it's not going to be as easy as removing carpet but def not as hard as it would be to remove tile...that i would be afraid of

Re: Would you (laminate floor question)
Awesome, thanks ladies! I just spoke to one of the service magic floor refinisher referrals I got and he suggested that we try to take the floors off ourselves since most laminate it the click/floating type. We're not closing until June but I'll let you know how it goes!
