Would you go?

We're supposed to go to my sister's house today, to celebrate xmas and exchange xmas/Bday gifts. She called to say her 7 y/o threw up last night. She had a belly ache all day, got sick once (around 11pm) and is totally fine.

Her 4 y/o had the same thing sunday night. Belly ache, got sick once, and then was fine.

We have a 2 y/o and are supposed to go to woodloch pines tomorrow - sunday. So, do you think I should go to my sister's today, or not take the risk?

Me? Yes, I'd just keep a watch on my kid and keep them clean. HOWEVER! I only have one to watch. With two, I don't know. I mean when AJ went over we'd just watch every toy she touched etc. At 7, kids are putting things in their mouths so its not as likely to pass on germs. But handles, ya know? No sharing food or plates, drinks etc.

I would not go. You do not know how your child will react to the virus and you are traveling to go away.

Nope. Stomach bug is rampant. We just had a friend cancel her Christmas party last weekend because of it and I was glad because I wouldn't have gone knowing her dd had the bug 2 days before.

I probably wouldn't go because I wouldn't want my LO to get sick while we're away.

I def wouldn't go. Dd caught a stomach bug Monday. Threw up 6 times in a row and was fine rest of the day. Fast fwd to yesterday morning and I woke up with it. I feel fine now thankfully but these stomach bugs are no joke and very contagious. Espec if you're going away.

Thanks all! We opted not to go, for the reasons below. My sister was disappointed but understood. I'm also petrified of vomitting, so do not do well around that stuff.
