Would you be worried?
I am having twins and had my early pregnancy screening for Downs syndrome...the doctor called and said my results were normal, but there was a significant difference between baby a and b...the results were:
Baby A - 1 out of 400 chance Baby B - 1 out of 1000 chance
He said that I fall in the low risk category and does not recommend an amnio, but for some reason I am still worried about Baby A and the difference between the two babies...
What do you think? Thx!

Re: Would you be worried?
I know it's hard to say not to be worried, but with those numbers, I wouldn't be. Remember, it's just a screening and not a diagnostic test.

From a fellow twin mommie to be I'd say dont worry! both of our boys were 1 out of 1000 chance but the Dr. had prewarned us that they may be different statistics. If anything was worrysome the Dr. would have ordered an amnio for sure!

Re: Would you be worried?
I'm sure that it is very hard not to get all worried, but if your doctor didn't show too much concern, I'd try to focus on that. I know easier said than done!

Re: Would you be worried?
Im not having twins, but I was told I had a 1:63 chance of Downs and had the amnio done and the baby is fine.
