Would you be put off?

I sent out invites to ds's bday party about a month and a half in advance. A guest rsvps yes but the day before the party, they bail bc her husband's supposedly sick with the flu. This is the second time they've done this for one of our parties. Then she sends a bday invite for her son a week after ds's party (I thought they're supposed to be sick with the flu) but just 2 days before the party! I had to move my clients around for a work photoshoot. If this kid wasn't a good friend's of ds, I probably wouldn't go. But I just feel so put off, too sensitive?

I think you are being to sensitive. It stinks that they got sick, but it happens.

I am dealing thru this but on the other side. One of my best friends isn't speaking to me. She had her dd's 1st bday party last month. I originally ravpd yes, but days before the party she texted me to let me know her dd was sick. I had a 5 week old so I asked the ped at his well visit and the ped advised against us going. I was honest with my friend and now she's not speaking to me. Do I feel awful for missing it? Of course. Do I regret my decision, nope. I can see being upset but give her the benefit of the doubt
