Would You be Mad?
My sister called my husband the other day to tell him "I bought a gift for Tracy from the kids." Mind you she means MY kids!! My husband was like what? She said "I saw something & picked it up." My husband was like OK.
Now she did this last year. She went out bought me a bunch of things & called my husband saying I picked up a bunch of things for Tracy for you so you don't have to go shopping. I told her I knew about it & she could tell I was annoyed. But here it is one year later & she did it AGAIN!!!

Re: Would You be Mad?
Being this is the second time she's pulling this stunt I'd be annoyed. Some people just don't get it.

Re: Would You be Mad?
I would be annoyed. It sounds like she does not trust your DH to get something from the kids that you would like. She should just give you the gift from herself.

Re: Would You be Mad?
I think itis a little weird But IMO if she knows you best to do something like that...then i wouldn't mind
BUT if your DH is bothered by this then she should stop!

Re: Would You be Mad?
I would be kind of angry. I know her heart is in the right place, but since she knew it annoyed you last year, there was no reason to do it again.

Re: Would You be Mad?
That is so odd!!!! I would be mad and I think its up to your DH to tell her to stop! How odd! Does she have kids? You can buy something for her from her kids!

I agree. Does she ask him for the money to pay for it? That would be weird.

Re: Would You be Mad?
I would be annoyed but would tell DH that it is his responsbility to pick out the kids' gifts to me (at least until they're old enough), and he needs to reign in his own sister.
etd. I misread it - if it were my sister, I'd tell her straight out to knock it off.

I'm confused - is this your sister or his? If my sister was doing that, I would probably tell her to knock it off, if it was DH's, I would tell him that it would mean a lot more to me if he picked gifts out himself. Unless DH is really bad at buying gifts
This seems to bother you, so I think it would be good to say something so it stops.

Re: Would You be Mad?
If you and your sister are close, I don't think there would be anythign wrong with it, the first time. I can totally see myself doing something like that for my sister- her DH is so busy and if I saw something I thought she would like, I would pick it up. I just picked up something for my neice because it was adorable and I thought my sister would like it, which she did.
However, after you asked her not to do it again, she should respect your feelings. To ignore your request is very rude. If she just forgot, then its just carelessness and your DH should thank her but tell her he has it covered. If she wants to give you something, let it come from her.
