would you be annoyed too?

So dh and I are having a real hard time picking a name for ds!
When I was pregnant with dd we discussed names with everyone and I always regretted it! Heard every comment under the sun...so this time around I told him I really dont want to discuss it with anyone. They are more then welcome to tell us names that they like but I didn't want to tell them the names we were thinking of...to avoid there opinions and 2cents blaablaablaa

So dh has barely had any conversation with me regarding names...I keep trying and he just avoids it by saying names that are jokes or saying I dont know...

Anyway last night he's on the phone/skype with his sister and starts discussing names with her! Once again she didnt add any names she just gave her opinions on the ones dh told her I knew she would have some issues with one name (it the name of an ex for her) but its still not her choice...and she adds well she would just call him by a nickname...

Now Im not annoyed at his sister Im pissed at him! And told him so and he doesnt understand why just gets annoyed at me for being pissed at him

there is a part of me that says at least he's thinking about names! even though he thought of discussing it with his sister and not his wife

UGH that would annoy me. We had a list of names with one we were leaning towards but we decided before I was even pregnant that we wouldn't tell anyone THE name because we didn't want to hear the opinions. Well as soon as we found out it was a boy, he went and told his whole family THE name and I was pizzzzzzed. Sometimes I think they don't get it because as the mom to be we hear more of the name criticism than the dads to be. But at least he's talking about names now and hopefully you guys can talk it out together!

This is something my DH would do. He always makes it like he doesnt care. With our last one he basically talked to everyone but me.

its .nice hes thinking. I dont think id name my kid any of our siblings exs thry were serious about.

we got alot okf critique from family on names too.

We aren't disclosing names either and I think I'd be upset if my DH did the same - especially since he won't discuss them with you!

I'm in the same boat as you with the discussions - I have less than 3 weeks until my due date and we have a girls name (which is the same one we seemed to like the best for DS although we weren't sold on it at the time) and we have no boys name. He's vetoed every name I've suggested and has come up with some doozies (mainly from watching college basketball).
