Would you?

I have a wedding to go to in two weeks in D.C. I live in Philadelphia, so travel time will be 2.5 hours. We're taking Alex (yippee!). My brother is going to the wedding as well and has been hinting that he wants a ride with us. Let me preface this by saying my brother and I are NOT CLOSE at all - let's just say he has come to see the baby twice since she has been born, and he only lives about 30 minutes away. Our relationship is severely strained, at best.

As you all know, my little fussmonster has a tendency to be cranky and will probably fuss in the car the entire way down and back. I'm really hesitant to bring another person in the car considering... what do you think? Am I being a brat?

Edited to add - it would also require that we drive 30 minutes out of our way to drop him off and then 30 minutes back to our house...

probably would just have him go with me -even if we werent close. Give him a chance to get to know Alex more.

If you think it's too much, I would just say that with Alex & all of the baby gear, it's probably best if he gets his own ride.

Also - i would tell him that he's going to have to get a ride to our house.

I think I would take him. This would let him spend some time with your daughter.

Maybe he could sit in the front and you could sit in the back with her and keep her company. This may make her less fussy with someone sitting with her.

Re: Would you?

I would tell him to met at your house and leave his car. It is easier with the baby that way. I would warn him that there is a good chance the baby will be fussy and if he can live with that then he can drive with you.

LOL... yeah, can you imagine Russell taking public transportation?! HA! Nah, it's Shana's wedding and ironically enough my mom is in DC that weekend so she's taking care of Alex at the hotel. I was hoping she could drive him back Chat Icon

Re: Would you?

I guess just take him - it'll serve him right if Alex is a fussy crankypants. Then he can deal with her in the backChat Icon
