Would this concern you? Speech related
DD is 22 months old, and while she says about 20 words, only one of them ("baby") is recognizable to anyone who doesn't spend a lot of time with her. Also, she says no sounds that come from the back of the throat (hard or soft G sound, hard C/K sound, etc.) Additionally, she very rarely finishes a word. So Nick would be "Nah", pictures is "piiih", etc. She will repeat words, but then never say them again.
Would you be concerned? She doesn't have a check up with the ped for almost 3 more months. The ped was considering referring us for speech at 18 months but I wanted to wait until the tubes she had gotten put in at 17 months had a chance to do their job.

Mine's 28 months also and isn't talking much either -- I'm not worried yet. He understands everything and has lots of words even though he pronounces them incorrectly.
