Would it look cheesy if...

We took DS trick or treating at 4 months old. I know he is way too young to understand it but DH has his heart on doing it because he's so excited about being a new dad and it being DS's first Halloween.

I told him that the neighbors might think we are using a little baby to get candy for ourselves. DH wants everyone to see the baby in his costume.

What do you think?

I don't think it's cheesy at all... IMO Halloween is for everyone, and I love to see all the babies in their costumes!

I felt a little lame even when Ryan was two- like I was just making him go for the candy. I would put the baby in the stroller and go for a walk in costume, maybe only "trick or treat" at familys homes.

Our intention is not to get candy out of this. We want to show off our DS in his cute costume!

We would only go the neighbors that are the friendliest and that know DS. I think they'll get a kick out of seeing him.

I think that would be really cute, and like someone else said just walking around and looking at the kids would be fun.

Yep. I can't wait until he's old enough to really understand it.

I took my older son trick-or-treating when he was 8 months old.
My younger son went when he was 4 months old.
I didn't feel cheesy at all!
If you can go with other moms, it helps with the cheesy factor. Then you can all be cheesy together!!

Yeah, Katherine is 13 months and I'd feel a little silly.

We plan on strolling her around the neighborhood without ringing bells.
