Worst valentines day ever
So it starts off with me waking up super early realzing I forgot to pick up milk for DD. So I get out of bed, do work and go get milk and all the ingrediants for the special dinner I was planning to make tonight.
Then before I leave for work, DH and I getting into a fight this morning, which we resolved. But at one point we called off our dinner plans (at home). So DH didn't realize that I would be cooking, and decided to stay at work late.
I left work early to go to a kiddie Valentines Day party with DD. I was supposed to go to the bank, and I totally forgot.
So I call him to tell him I'm on my way home and I am about to go into the market and and pick up his favorite pie. He didn't realize our dinner plans were still on. So he hops in the car (from LI) and is coming home (to Manhattan).  So I go get the pie.
I have too much stuff to take the subway or a cab home, so I decide to walk the 20 blocks.
Then I get home and realize that I don't have the chicken (the main dish) that I thought I had.  I ask DH to go pick it up, and he is exhausted and doesn't want to run to the kosher market to get the chicken, then the liquor store to get wine. So I get annoyed, my special dinner is ruined.
So i put on my sweats and plan to go to bed early. DH tells me I'm being silly, so we are ordering Thai food, watching Lost and I guess we'll celebrate Valentines day tomorrow. 
And its 9 and he still isn't home, so its a good thing I didn't wait for him. I sure don't want to start cooking dinner NOW.

Tell me about it. I am just getting to the point that I can laugh about it, but a few hours ago, I definitely wasn't feeling that way.

Awwww... screw Valentine's day! You don't need to be told to celebrate your love on a specific date! You, and you alone, know that there are plenty of other times when you guys connect and show how much you care about one another, you don't need a stupid little day to do that. If only the rest of us should be so lucky to have as strong a marriage as you, just remember that!

I am feeling you on this one! My DH was supposed to get home by 6 to go to dinner and never made it home until 930, so no dinner... I was already in my sweat pants and in no mood to even order.... V-Day is today for us!
