Re: workouts
Depends what you mean by 'enough'. There's no requirement. In a low risk pregnancy, they say to just continue the level of activity you did pre-pregnancy. There are people on bed rest who don't get ANY exercise and it's totally fine. If that's what you're comfortable, it's fine .. it's not like there's some gold standard out there. Enjoy!

Re: workouts
walking is great. If you were active pre-pregnancy you can continue with your regular exercises but if not it is not recommended to start during your first trimester.
I stay active by walking a lot and I also do a prenatal belly dancing video that I got as a gift (I used to belly dance for many years but stopped when moved away from the city) I still practice every now and then.

I'm high risk because I'm having twins so I was told not to exert myself at all. I used to work out 3-4 times a week so it's hard for me. The only exercise I get is when I walk the dog - slowly - about a mile 2-3 times a week.
I think whatever your body is comfortable with is perfect.

Re: workouts
I go to the gym and walk at least thirty to forty minutes everyday. Nothing crazy, just a nice pace - brisk walk. I usually go outside and do it (walk the dogs) if I want a 'change of scenery'. On days where the weather isn't good DH and I will go together and walk the mall. We do at least 4-6 full laps around the mall :)
The other thing I try to do as much as I can is swim - my gym has a nice, heated, indoor pool and I try to do that once a week.
Again, nothing too much - no more than an hour, I make sure to keep my heart rate reasonable. I try and stretch a lot.
I just make sure to avoid the stuff doc told me is bad news: volleyball, basketball, jumping, lifting, anything that makes your heart rate go above a certain amount, and whatever I do - he recommended that if I get hot or sweaty to immediately take a cool shower and cool my body temp down. Of course, he also stressed TONS of water drinking. He also vetoed crunches and any type of muscle toning, weights, anything like that BELOW the waist. I can lift small weights with my arms - to tone arms - but NOTHING anywhere near belly and south of there lol.
It's really not A LOT of working out - or at least it doesn't feel like a lot to me compared to pre-pregnancy doing spin classes and the elliptical and stuff like that - for at least 1-2 hours, etc. So, just carving out time to walk each day seems easier to me, I actually like it a lot.

My doctor told me that I could continue all my usual work out regimen - and I had seen her right before I found out I was pregnant. Fastforward one week and I did my "usual" workout as she said was ok, which includes an hour on the treadmill (jogging/running/walking) and working up a big old sweat. That night I woke up to sharp pains and the starting of spotting - which turned into a miscarriage (at 6 weeks). I'm convinced that the workout had something to do with it... I'm going to guess that because I'm a bigger girl she assumed that my "usual" workout didn't include working up a sweat like that...

Re: workouts
I had a very hard time at the beginning. I was competing in fitness competitions so I had to seriously alter my workout schedule. My doctor told me not to let my heart rate stay about 140 for any stretch of time. He also wanted me to be very careful while weight training.
I ended up being so sick at the beginning that I could hardly do anything. Once If elt better I added some walking/elliptical and light weights back in. At about 24 weeks I started walking at least 30-45 minutes daily and have kept that up since. Iam now 38 weeks and still doing it. I really feel like it has helped me have an easier pregnancy. No swelling, the weight gain tapered off and I have felt really good!

I will say that once I see that BFP again, I will NOT be running (as that definitely brings my heart rate above 140) and will stick with walking....
