Work personality poll
Are you always "good" and on top of things, or do you go through doldrums? I am so manic- sometimes I am frenzied and I love being busy and running about all the time with lots to do, and then I have moments where I feel so fried and can't get motivated and can't get much done. I wonder if most people are like me or if others tend to be more consistent.

I am always motivated and on top of things. I don't havemuch of a choice though... I am ALWAYS very busy.

well up until recently...
i had things undercontrol and kept on top of things....definitely allowing me to get lazy
since taking on some new responibilities at work
i am constantly trying to regain that control

i think it all depends on the task. most ppl have aspects of their job that they really like but still have to get done some of the boring tasks. when im pumped up after a period of time of doing the stuff i like, i'll try to knock out some of the boring stuff, otherwise, i'll proscrasinate forever. i actually find myself moving the same tasks from day to day, then week to week in my palm.

I started off my job so motivated and on top of things...I have a state job though, and the lack of appreciation/room for advancement is getting to me. I generally work hard just because that's my work ethic, but to be surrounded by people doing so little (and since it is the state we all get paid the same) gets to me sometimes. If my extra work was appreciated or complimented, I would work that much harder. The fact that it goes completely unnoticed is just sad.

I'm pretty organized. i get the job done 2 days before it is even suppose ot be done. I sometimes do my boss' job too since I know I can get it done quicker and the right way. There are some days I take care of 3 worker's patients, I love chaos and I love being non-stop at work, the day flies and it keeps me distracted.

since i started in my current employment, there are days where I lag. especially if i'm working from home. it's very easy to lose momentum when you're at home in pj's. (maybe i should go put on a suit..  )
howevery, when i'm in the office, or out in the field, i'm full speed ahead motivated!

I have my motivated days where everything is done. Then I have days where I just can't do anything. In my last job, I had no choice but to be on top of everything. There was no time at all and if things weren't done ASAP, then all hell would break loose.
