Work gripe - pretty sure this has been discussed before
Every last Tuesday of the month, my company has cake (several cakes ) for everyone's birthdays that occurred that month, as well as their anniversaries working at the company.
I do not eat this cake. I do not need to eat a piece of cake at 3 o'clock. Sure I look like I eat cake all day long and maybe when I get home I eat 9 cakes but if I don't want any, that's my prerogative am I correct?
Everyone seems to notice that I don't have any. HR passes and comments, facilities tries to offer me some. I mean there are over 100 people in this office, leave me alone with the damned cake!
Food pushers annoy the living he llllll out of me!

I hate this too. There was one lady here that used who wanted everyone to eat when she was eating. It was sort of like she wouldn't feel guilty for cheating on her diet if everyone else was eating too. I always wanted to say "I have enough of my own food issues, must I take on yours as well? "

OMG I hate cake! They're always nasty cakes too and I hate the whoel pretending you're at a party eating cake. Really people you will go back to your desks and it will be like thois cake never happened. I'd rather have $10 than a fricking cake!

I will eat everything and anything in site- so if there is a cake at 3pm- you can be assured I will be eating it.
(Unless the person who made it looks hygenically questionable!)
But that is just me- I am a compulsive over eater and a self proclaimed HOG!!!

I was thinking the same thing. If they really push it take a piece and then throw it out. HTH

LOL I once had to literally STOP an interview that I was conducting to go have cake for someone's birthday..I was like "I'll come in and get some in a few" and the office manager was like No, you have to come right now, everyone is...I was so mortified and apologized profusely to the person I was meeting with.

Well you know me, I dont eat cake (or any sugary things) because I cant for medical reasons but it is SO annoying to explain this to my co-workers everytime its someone's birthday so I take the piece they give me, eat one bite and secretly throw it out.
But it does sound annoying!

I HATE THAT! Actually, I hate people who comment on what you eat in general! If you feel guilty about having a piece of cake, that's your issue - dont hassle me for not pigging out with you!
