Work Conditions?

Lately my lead has been giving me crap about everything, dismissing my opinion, treating me unfairly and basically being a jerk. If you have complained about it to your manager and nothing is done , do you go to HR.
I don't want to say im being treated unfairly because I'm the only girl in my group and its sexual discrimination (could be some of the reason but don't know for sure), i just think he generally doesn't like me becasue i speak my mind and if you don't have the same opinion as him you are wrong.
Everyone hates him but no one speaks up and lately i am tired of being treated like crap every day i come to work.
Im a single mom and don't want to jeopardize my job, I'm just miserable. I am looking for a new job but do i complain or just suck it up and deal with it till i find something new.
Question is do i have something to complain about or stop whining about it and deal with it. I feel like i deserve some respect I shouldn't be made to feel like this every day.

Work Conditions?

My husband has been at a similar job for 12 years. He is completely miserable. His boss is mean and has a Napoleon complex. He thinks he is perfect and wants everyone to be like him or live the lifestyle he lives. His kids are grown and he goes to the gym 7 days a week. He put his workers down and calls them fat or lazy and yells at them all the time.

My husband would love to speak up, but he has no proof and none of the other guys will stand up to him for fear of losing their job. I told him to record their conversations on his phone, but he says the insults come quickly and suddenly and he doesn't have time to get it started.

He has looked for other jobs, but is paid really well and he will have to take a pay cut and be without benefits, so he keeps putting it off. He is miserable, so I feel your pain.

If you have an HR, I would definitely go file a complaint and make sure they put it in writing and that you sign it.
