Work and preg = not sure what to feel

So I havea type A personality but I am also in my opinion an OK manager. Boss drops on me yesterday that a few months after I get back (due late Aug, mostl ikely happening Marchish) that he wants me to go from 3 direct reports to overseeing 6 people directly and their staff's of anothe 12 people. Great and exciting career stuff for me but as you can see it is 4:30 and I am up b/c: 1) I am 32 weeks and baby boy is kicking 2) I feel like I could do this like 2 years from now when I am more of a mature manager 3) I feel like he is dumping (not empowering) a lot of the weight of the dept that he couldn't figure out how to manage. Ugh......I know this is good but come on, did he have to do this now???

Honestly, I can see your POV, but your boss is not thinking about your outside of work life - he is thinking about his department and planning, etc. If you are uncomfortable with it, maybe have a sit down talk with him and get the specifications.
