Work...

I am the low man on the totem pole at my office (and the young/spry one), so I'm usually the one to 1) change the 3 gallon water jugs.. 2) box up files at the end of the year..3)move heavy cases of paper. I'm trying to avoid all of the above, but I dont know how I'm going to do so.


And

I work for a small company, so there isnt a maternity leave policy in place.

Because of the above 2 things, how soon do you think I should tell my supervisor (who will in turn have to tell the big boss)??

the next time your boss asks you to move or lift something heavy, I would ask to speak to him or her privately and tell them

I would tell them asap. I'm sure they will all understand and help out!

I work for a small office and do similar activities. I told my boss and left it to her to let the other higer ups know.

I work for a small business and do all physical work too. I told my boss very early,6 or 7 weeks, just in case I had issues. Unless your high risk, or feel cruddy, if your body was used to the activity before pregnancy its okay to continue. There's only 2 other people in my position and figured they'd appreciate the notice so they don't plan trips and stuff like that while I'm out. Hth!
