Woodpecker RANT!
I hate WOODPECKERS! Every year, we get one on our old satellite dish. He comes every morning and sits there ratatating all morning!! My bedroom is right under the dish. I think he likes the sound it makes.
This year, there are two of them. One sits on mine and the other is somewhere else, because I can hear the other tapping back.

Awww! That's strange that he's pecking the dish! I actually love listening to the woodpeckers in the neighborhood! But on the sattelite dish in the morning could not be fun!

When we had real cedar shingles, we had a woodpecker that like to chip away at the house... 
I put sheets of metal behind the holes he made, and last year we got vinyl siding. We'll see what happens this year....
