Re: wood floor cleaners
to add the shine back try Bona Wood Floor Polisher.
Wash your floors and let them dry then apply the polisher. I have never seen a shine like this product.

Purchased from Solutions catalog. This stuff is amazing if you are looking for adding a shine.
Note~ I would not recommend it for a satin finish, but only for those looking for a high shine.

Please do not use murphy oil soap on wood floors! You are actually cleaning the polyurethane on the floor, not the wood itself. Any oil soap permanently leaves an oil film so when the floors need to be refinished, it makes it very difficult because it is coated in dry oil. Many time, the floors need a sanding down to bare wood instead of light sanding and poly coats. You can ask any hardwood professional.
