witching hour starting at 12 weeks??
for the last 4 days at 6:15pm DS starts screaming for NO reason. first i thought it was gas, then i thought he was tired. but he'll just scream his head off. hes such a mellow calm baby so this is totally not him. can the witching hour first start now?

Maybe he's a little hungry at that time? I'm not sure what his feeding schedule is....

Tyler's witching hours are from 530-around 700....he's only 7 weeks. There is NOTHING that I can do other than bring him into a dark room...I think by that time he's just over stimulated and needs a break from everything! Unfortunately dinner falls between those hours, so our house is a ZOO for a short time! Good luck!

That happened w/ DD for about a month...usually from 7pm-10 or so. Hang in there, it gets better. Read, Happiest Baby on the Block, or better yet get the DVD...it helps

well...that is a little late for it to be a newborn witching hour IMO....what i think is that your little one is totally overtired. what time is the witching hour? and what time does your DC go to bed?
i found that when my DD was screaming and crying and nothing else worked that she was just way overtired and only putting her to bed helped.

i think you're right. normally he goes to bed at 10, but last night i put him down at 8:30 and i woke him up this morning at 6:30. at around 7:30 last night i started getting him ready for his bath while he was screaming and the second i took off his diaper he stopped and was perfectly calm in the tub, had his bottle and passed out. guess its time to cut out the 6th bottle of the day and put him to bed earlier.
