wishing well....
Are you having a wishing well at your shower? The only reason why I might want one is for diapers (having twins), however, I feel it might be weird to ask people to bring diapers for a wishing well, as I would not even know how to word it. Any ideas or thoughts? Right now, there is no plan to have one, so it's ok if I'm way out of line for even suggesting a diaper wishing well!
Thanks.

Re: wishing well....
I am not having one. I think it's more of a bridal shower thing but I could be wrong. I haven't been to too many baby showers.

Re: wishing well....
I had a book wishing well. We did it for my sisters shower and it turne dout so great we did it again for mine. Everyone brought a book and wrote a note to the baby in it. The "well" was a bookcase.
I have geard of a "diaper raffle". Guests could buy raffle tickets using packs of diapers.. one bag of diapers = 1 ticket. Then there are raffle prizes for the guests to win. This way tou still get your diapers and the guests have fun with it. More info on diaper raffle

Re: wishing well....
I had a wishing well that was for books or bibs. I like Julz's idea for the diapers. If you want to do it for the wishing well though I think you can. Just come up with a cute poem or phrase to say it.

Re: wishing well....
I think wishing wells are a great idea. There are so many little things you need like diapers, wipes, pacifiers, etc.
The book wishing well is a great idea too as well as the diaper raffle!

Re: wishing well....
I actually think wishing wells are better for baby showers than bridal showers. How many spatulas and spoons does one person need? But diapers and bibs IMO are much more needed. So I would say definitely do one. When I've gone to baby showers I always put diapers, lotion, desitin or baby food in.
The diaper raffle idea sounds really cute and I'll have to remember that for the next baby shower that I am part of.

Re: wishing well....
They are doing one for mine and asked for either diapers or books! My cousin had a diaper wishing well and said she didn't have to buy diapers the first 6 months!!

Re: wishing well....
my mother (who is german and never understood what a shower was until I explained it to her so she and my BM could organize my bridal shower) has officially told me that she is in complete control as far as the baby shower is concerned.... and I have no say I've been notified that there will be a wishing well..... (I didn't want one for the bridal shower since my kitchen was already complete...)
