Wish me luck!!

Ok all, wish me luck. I'm spending Saturday morning trying to garden (for the first time in my life). I'm always scared of the unknown. I know it needs a good cleaning out, which I will do. And I want to go to home depot and pick up some plants. After talking to you all, it seems like impations are the best. I also want to get something to outline the flowerbeds. I'll take before and afters.

P.S. How is the weather suppose to be this weekend?

Not sure about the weather, but have fun! I am really looking forward to doing this next year in my garden.

Impatiens and begonias are both very easy to plant and grow, plus they tolerate shade well if you don't get a lot of sun. Coleus is pretty easy also, and they can grow in partial shade.

If you have a sunny spot, another easy plant is geraniums. I never had trouble with those.

Hope you enjoy yourself! Getting everything cleaned up and ready is the hardest part. Actually planting the plants isn't too difficult. Just give them a good watering after planting if there is no rain on the way, and your plants should be fine.

Good Luck! I did heard this morning that there might be showers this weekend. But then you won't have to water the plants. Can't wait to see the pics.

make sure to buy some plant fertilizer to throw down after planting, so when it rains this weekend, it will saturate into the soil and help the roots grow!
